Most of the studies conducted on the use of Dental Monitoring have focused on the accuracy of the algorithmic software (8), and its effectiveness in remotely managing treatments to reduce chair time and increase treatment efficiency (3, 4). However, when it comes to orthodontic emergencies, no studies specifically evaluate the efficacy of DM. Only a few studies evaluated the role of tele-orthodontics in general, to help manage emergencies remotely, and have done so only in the pandemic phase using voice calls and smartphone applications such as WhatsApp® Messenger (5-7).
