Results
A total of 40 children were included in the sample following the application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In 42.5% of the sample, the dental age was a bit higher than the chronological age (+1), while in 32.5% the chronological age was more significant than the dental age. The mean average dental age was 8.66 while the mean average chronological age was 8.2. Thus, the average divergence between the chronological age and the dental age was 0.46. The study illustrated that 22.5% of the sample demonstrated that there were no disparities between the ages. However, in some cases, significant differences of approximately 5%, which represents +3 years, were recorded. A tabular presentation of the results and their classifications for the sample is displayed in the table number one.
A look at the summary statistics for the sample displayed some interesting results, as will be shown in the descriptive statistics evaluated from the table number two.
The mean value of the statistic was a negative value, indicating that a large number of the results showed a higher dental age than the chronological age. Moreover, the confidence level was measured for the statistic and found to be at 0.409. The result from this sample was not significant. The study’s objective could not be adequately reached using this sample.
