Przypadek torbieli korzeniowej spowodowanej przetrwałym korzeniem zęba mlecznego u 17-letniej pacjentki
After opening tooth 15 the patient was referred to the Clinic for Dental Surgery, where it was decided to incise the change to decompress it. Leakage of purulent contents occurred and a rubber seton was placed for draining. Considering the inflammation and intensified clinical symptoms, topical treatment was extended with pharmacotherapy, recommending Clindamycin MIP 0.6 every 12 hours. The patient came for a follow-up to the Clinic for Dental Surgery one day after incision of the change and for the following week every two days. Healing of the wound after decompression was uneventful.
The treatment plan presented for approval and consent of the legal guardian and the patient included endodontic treatment of tooth 15, being preparation for a surgical procedure, and the surgical procedure aimed at removal of the remaining fragment of the deciduous tooth and the change caused by it.
After obtaining written consent of the legal guardian and the patient, the old filling from the tooth crown was removed as well as dentine with caries; antiseptic endodontic treatment of tooth 15 was commenced and conducted in accordance with the applicable principles, and completed with the filling of the tooth.
