Elektromiograficzna ocena napięcia mięśni żucia po leczeniu zaburzeń czynnościowych
Title: Electromyographic evaluation of the muscle activity after the treatment of TMD
Streszczenie: Postępowanie w leczeniu zaburzeń czynnościowych obejmuje najczęściej wykorzystanie różnego rodzaju aparatów odciążających (szyny). Często ta forma leczenia wspomagana jest zabiegami z zakresu fizykoterapii, np.: termoterapią, krioterapią, jonoforezą, przezskórną elektrostymulacją nerwową, magnetostymulacją oraz laseroterapią. W laseroterapii wykorzystywane są urządzenia o małej mocy, które stymulują m.in. wydzielanie histaminy i serotoniny, normalizują potencjał błony komórkowej oraz regulują procesy w komórkach. Celem pracy była ocena porównawcza skuteczności leczenia zaburzeń czynnościowych układu stomatognatycznego z wykorzystaniem szynoterapii oraz wspomagającej laseroterapii. Do badania zakwalifikowano 19 pacjentów z zaburzeniami czynnościowymi układu stomatognatycznego. U tych pacjentów przeprowadzono: badanie czynnościowe układu ruchowego narządu żucia, badanie elektromiograficzne BioEMG III (Bioresearch) mięśni skroniowych i żwaczy oraz instrumentalne badanie kontaktów międzyzębowych T-Scan III (Tekscan).

Summary: The treatment of temporomandibular disorders most often includes the use of splint appliances. This form of treatment is often assisted by physiotherapy. Thermotherapy, cryotherapy, iontophoresis, dermatological electrostimulation, magnetostimulation and laser therapy can be mentioned here. The laser therapy uses low-level energy devices, which stimulate the secretion of histamine and serotonin, normalize cell membrane potential and regulate cell metabolism. The aim of the study has been to compare the efficacy of the treatment of the functional disorders of the stomatognathic system with the use of splint therapy and assistive low-level laser therapy. 19 patients diagnosed with temporomandibular disorders according to the Reasearch Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorder participated in the study. Masticatory muscles tenderness, occlusal area contacts using T-Scan III (Tekscan) and electromyographic activity using BioEMG III (Bioresearch) were analyzed.
