Zastosowanie wielofalowego lasera diodowego w chirurgii stomatologicznej – opis trzech przypadków
Case 1
A male patient, aged 68, came to the Outpatient Department of Periodontal and Oral Mucosal Diseases of the Faculty of Conservative Dentistry with Endodontics at the Medical University of Silesia in Zabrze for consultation regarding a change in the form of a tumor situated on the mucosa of the lower lip within the right angle of the mouth. In the medical history he did not provide any systemic diseases, he did not take any medications on a permanent basis, and the pathological change was observed 2 years ago and it was subjected to earlier treatment. The change occurred as a result of biting the mucosa. In the clinical examination the tumor with a diameter of 0.5cm with the color of the mucosa, with a flexible consistency, a wide peduncle, covered with unchanged mucosa, painless, non-bleeding. Since its occurrence the pathological change did not grow (fig. 4).
The patient was qualified for the procedure to remove the change, with a preliminary diagnosis of a fibroma, using a multiwave diode laser with a wavelength of 980 nm and the surgical optical fiber with a diameter of 200 μm. In the area of the change local anesthesia was applied using 0.2 ml Ubistesin® 4% (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany).
